Play and do well in Science – our continuing theme

Friday, September 19th, 2008

We want kids to play Science Score and do well in Science. This is our theme in the recently concluded Asia gaming convention. We will continue to uphold this theme and help kids to both enjoy and do well in their academic performance.

Education or play? This or that. This is how educators see it. But after getting feedback from thousands of kids we are convinced that kids will manifest better learning outcomes if a game blended learning style is introduced to them. We want to deliver an e-learning experience that integrates the positive elements of computer games (test of logic, memory, problem solving, critical thinking skills, visualization and discovery), with educational philosophy, clearly stated learning outcomes supported by superior content.

We also realise that in order for such initiatives to be embraced by Schools and supported by teachers and parents, it is important to meet the curriculum objectives. Given the pressures faced by teachers and students to produce specific results, any time spent through elearning must demonstrate academic performance improvements.

That is why we are so happy with the way Science Score has evolved today, as it meets both the learn expectations (aligning to curriculum) of teachers/parents and the play expectations of kids. This has been a tough challenge, but we believe we have surpassed the expectations of all through our hard work over the last few years in making Science Score a truly memorable experience.

See us at the Gaming convention Asia at Suntec city (18-Sep-08 to 20-Sep-08)

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Science Score is participating in the second Asia gaming convention held at Suntec Convention centre between 18-Sep-08 to 20-Sep-08. While we are in the elearning space, we are participating in this convention to understand more about the gaming industry and its future landscape. We hope to be able to strike some alliances with companies that can align with our core objectives. We are also looking forward to understanding what drives user adoption to games, so that we can build these aspects into our product roadmap in the future.
